FIGHTING CORONA WITH HEALTHY DIET

RECIPIES INCORPORATING FOODS WITH (ANTIVIRAL – IMMUNITY ENHANCING – ANTI INFLAMMATORY) PROPERTIES

Healthy food items such as GARLIC, GINGER, FLAXSEED, ALMOND,WALNUT, COCONUT, MUSHROOM, CURD(Probiotic), DATES, HONEY, LIME, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, CINNAMON, GREEN TEA have been incorporated in this post to make a Meal with Paranthas, Mushrooms, Raita, Chutneys and Desserts.

This fight against corona is being initiated from the kitchen. However, one should not forget the basic kitchen etiquette’s namely start with a clean and uncluttered kitchen, ensure all ingredients, tools and equipment are clean; wash hands with soap and water before cooking and throughout whenever hands become oily or flavoured; use wipes/towels for sticky spills and grease, segregate your kitchen waste and other trash simultaneously, rinse all the cooking dishes when they are still warm to avoid scrubbing later and finally prepare the kitchen for the next meal.

INGREDIENTS

Meal

· Raita (To serve 4)

o Carrot grated 1cup

o Curd probiotic 4-5Tbsp

o Mustard powder 1/2Tsp

o Garlic pods 5

o Green chilli 2

o Salt ½ Tsp

· Mushroom Peas Curry (To serve 4)

o Mushroom 300Gms

o Peas 1cup

o Onion big 1

o Garlic pods 12-15

o Green chilli 3

o Tomatoes medium 3

o Flaxseed almond podi (see below) 1Tbsp

o Turmeric powder 1Tsp

o Red chilli powder ½ Tsp

o Coriander powder 1Tsp

o Salt ¾ Tsp

o Garam masala ½ Tsp

o Cooking oil 2Tbsp

· Parantha stuffed (flaxseed almond podi)

o Use 1 Tbsp of flaxseed almond podi for one parantha

Chutneys

· Flaxseed almond podi (can be used as a stuffing; additional condiment)

o Flaxseed roasted 1cup

o Roasted almonds 1cup

o Coconut slices ¾ cup

o Red chillis 4

o Garlic pods10-12

o Salt ½ Tsp

o Olive oil 4Tbsp

· Amla Garlic

o Coriander leaves (chopped)1cup

o Green chillis 4

o Garlic pods 10

o Gooseberry (Amla) chopped 4

o Grated ginger 1Tsp

o Mango powder 1Tsp

o Salt ½ Tsp

· Ginger Julians

o Ginger 100Gms

o Lemon medium size 3

OR

o Apple cider vinegar 2Tbsp

Dessert

· Fruit Yoghurt (As per taste)

o Apple

o Grapes

o Rasberry

o Kiwifruit

o Yoghurt probiotic

o Honey

· Ginger dryfruit candy balls

o Ginger grated 1Tbsp

o Coconut grated 1Tbsp

o Dates seedless 1Tbsp

o Walnut 1Tbsp
